Anyone remember the TV show "The Green Hornet"?

I have won my 1st EBay item. It got here yesterday. It's the whole series of the "Green Hornet" with the 2 episodes with "Batman and Robin"! This show aired in "66/67". I am so thrilled! My DS has seen "Batman and Robin", "Dragnet", etc. He didn't seem to mind those. But last night I showed him the "Green Hornet".

Well, DS has done burst my bubble! He thinks it's "stupid"!
What's a father to do??? The "Green Hornet" was one of my favorites when I was his age. He said, "Dad, "Kim Possible" is more realistic, and it's a cartoon!"

Oh Well. I have it. Didn't pan out like I wanted, but........I think it's called "The Generation Gap". Hmmmmmm, I think, if I remember correctly, the term Generation Gap, started about the same time as the "Hornet"!

Any DoDer's remember the "Hornet"?

Yes I used to love the Green Hornet. Was Kato (sp?) his sidekick? My dh loved Gigantor as a child so we bought some DVD's with a couple seasons on it for him. My dh always tries to get the kids to come watch it with him and they think he is crazy. They are so terrible they are funny.

Re: Anyone remember the TV show "The Green Hornet"?

Yes, I remember it. When I was little, that and Batman was awesome. But ... sad to say ... when I watch them now ... I die laughing at how silly it is. I guess in these days, when even movies are so realistic, the 'old shows' come across as kind of goofy.

You're probably getting to the age where you might be becoming a bit nostalgic. I know I am. So, if it makes YOU happy, that's what counts.

Re: Anyone remember the TV show "The Green Hornet"?

Hi,

First, Congrats on getting your 1st E-Bay item! Second, of course I remember the Green Hornet (doesn't everyone? LOL). I love the older shows - older than the set you bought.
Oh yes, it's the Generation Gap, and once it starts, it stays for quite awhile - can you tell we have a son?
Enjoy your set and I bet some of the things your son watches you (maybe) find silly!

Kat

Re: Anyone remember the TV show "The Green Hornet"?

It was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I saw it recently on some network, but don't remember which one. Have you tried the Ma and Pa Kettle movies? There was one in which Pa won a dreamhouse and my kids absolutely loved it. I don't know how old your son is, but mine were about 9 and 11 years old at the time.
