Question Where are you?
Everyone is disappearing here! It can't be that there are bigger and better sites out there, so what's the reason? Some of the familiar names are no longer hanging around.

Yes, It seems as tho it is just the same people around all of the time. Telos mentioned that we lost alot of dial-up people.

What's my point? Bloat. Members complained about the ads for months. People do not like to scroll half way down a page to view posts in a forum. That was changed a few days ago. Let people know the bloat is gone. Bloat causes slow loading pages. Those ads were terminally annoying and people just got fed up and said bye bye.

We have a number of moderators and guides that not only just don't care about their volunteer positions, but they don't care about DOD anymore.

We have an excessive amount of members 154,114 listed. What for? More bloat! Many have never made a post. What's that all about? (just to inflate statistics).

Not necessary. People don't care how many members are listed, they DO care about how many are active. If people left - then find out why. If things have been corrected (such as the bloat) let them know. Send out an email letting them know they are missed, and we are now more streamlined.

Well I am still here Have been really busy taking care of my mom ...But I have been trying to get on ...I miss DOD very much...I actually thought when I came to take care of my mom I would have lots of down time to post, read posts etc...but taking care of my mom has proved harder than I ever thought...

Hope others start coming back...I sure do miss the busy days we used to have...

ShainaT - this is quite sane. "Time for some new mods and guides IMO. If they haven't posted in a month or more they should lose their title."

But I think it should be expanded to 3 months. If mods and guides can't be active, then it's time for some redecorating. Nothing wrong with that idea.
