| Ever find any money? I just had a funny experience. My son and I went to a ball game. There was no one sitting in the seat in front of me, but I suddenly noticed a bill under the seat, asked son how long his arm was and pointed. He picked up the bill and pocketed it. I never even asked how big the bill was. Son asked if he should wave the bill around and ask if anyone dropped it. I said no because I was afraid someone would claim it just to get the money. About an hour later a teenager sitting nearby reached into his pocket and was noticeably upset that it was empty as he spoke to his mother. I reached over and tapped him on the shoulder and asked if he had lost something. He said five dollars. I then asked my son how much he found and when he said five dollars, we returned the money to the boy. The parents were so grateful they introduced themselves to us and said thanks several times.
I learned a long time ago that people will take advantage of you if you are foolish when it comes to money. I found a hundred dollars in the parking lot of a Pantry. I went inside and said I had found some money in the parking lot and that I was going home but if someone came in claiming to have lost some money they could call me, and I left my phone number. Sure enough, about 15 minutes after I got home I received a call from someone who said they had lost some money in the Pantry parking lot. I asked how much they had lost but they could not say, so I said I found about 17 dollars....and they said that is how much they lost......LOL
Have any funny "found money" stories?
