| Re: Anyone going to a Harry Potter party at their local bookstore tonight? My oldest DS is the only one that has read the books so I took him to Border's last night. We hadn't pre-ordered it yet but they said we could reserve one and then see if they had enough after all of the pre-paids. He went with DH to the last one and they had games, prizes, crafts, refreshments and got their book about 1:30 in the a.m. because they were far back in the line when numbers were handed out. We figured if we stayed at Border's, we wouldn't even get the book till at least 2 a.m. So, here's what we did this time: We went to Border's which was really boring-no refreshments, contests, or prizes-just some crafts and puzzles. Left there at 11:00 pm, stopped at Johnny Rockets to get milkshakes and then on to Ralph's (local grocery store) who said they would have it at midnight. Got there at 11:50pm and were 15th in line. We got the book for $3 less than it would have been at Border's and were home by 12:20! DS then proceeded to stay up reading it till God knows when!
I've read the first 4 books. I'm waiting to see the next movie before reading Book 5. DS wants me to hurry and read them all so he can talk about them with me tho!
