Whose going to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?
I wonder if it will be as good as the first one? I remember being so enamored with the flavored wall paper, when I was a little girl. But I was scared of that movie too, and even my kids fast forward the boat scene.

Two Thumbs up and four stars! We saw it this afternoon and it was terrific! Although Johnny Depp was great, I don't think he was better than Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka. However....and I can not believe I am saying this.....this storyline was better than the first film. I hesitate to use the word original as the original is actually an excellent book. This movie was lot's of fun and kept me interested(no easy feat at a movie) right to the end!. We loved it!

We want to go... we have the Willy Wonka movie and my oldest daughter Calli has read the Roald Dahl book... I have heard this movie is much closer to the book itself, but I'm sure both versions are equally entertaining!

We saw the movie and thought it was great!! I highly recommend it.

Johnny Depp himself has said it is crazy to think Micheal Jackson was the inspiration for his character. He stated that his inspirations were Captin Kangaroo and Mr. Rogers, because he felt they had interesting ways of speaking.
