Surviving 4 day, 40 hour week!

I have almost survived my first four day forty hour week. More like twelve hour days since I leave the house at 6:30 AM and get home at 6:30 PM and eat lunch in my office! But I am getting back in the saddle again. I just got my Certified Fraud Examiner's license renewed! I was afraid that they wouldn't do it since I have been out of practice for so long.

Last week we only worked four-eight hour days. I like that better!

It can only get easier, and I'm glad you got the renewal.
Is it possible you'll be doing more four eight-hour days? I'd like that better if it were me.

Nope. The choice is normally 4-10s, 4-9s and 1-4, or 5-8s.

Re: Surviving 4 day, 40 hour week!

I loved working four 10 hours days and getting 3 days off. My work tried three 12 hour days and getting paid for 40 hours but it didn't go over very well. I think you will love it once you get used to it.

I don't think I could ever do "real" work again. LoL
Good thing there are people like you that can.

Re: Surviving 4 day, 40 hour week!

Well, off to work again. That was a nice weekend, but I find myself really tired on Friday. Oh well, it ends August 31 and we go back to 8 to 5. Probably just when I start getting used to it too!

Re: Surviving 4 day, 40 hour week!

8-5?? That's nine hours. I think I would like a little later start (like 8ish) myself.
Glad you're getting hang of it all. I imagine Fridays probably are like your "old" Saturdays...just wanna be lazy for a bit Kenny leaves here at any where from 4:45-5 a.m. That's to get his workout in...he has to clock in at 6:30 and is home by 4...he worked second shift for many years and THOUGHT he liked it until he switched to days...lol.
