Why are the same people winning Member of the Day?

I absolutely ADORE Kath (Mama2Calli) and am glad she keeps winning MOD but she JUST won it on 5/28.....barely 6 weeks ago! This isn't the first time someone has won 2x in less than 2 months......

I know its disappointing-lol!!! But I think a computer randomly picks them.

Yeah, I think it's just random! I read about this couple who won millions and then about a year later won some ginormous amount of money again...the odds were like a billion to 1. Must be hard to be that lucky!

Why don't we just go to member nominated winners, or a rule that only one win per year or something. That would make it much more fair. Don't know what the system is but I think it is just random, no harm intended.

I won once, about two years ago. It's just the luck of the draw and some people seem to have more luck.

I won once when I first joined-then somehow lost the code for amazon so I never got to use it-

I won once about 2 or so years ago at the very tail end of the T-shirt give away and sadly never got my T-Shirt

I noticed not to0 long ago that there was a name one day, then another one, and then back to the first name. I think it did it a couple times that way. I thought maybe there was a problem with how the random pick was done, or there are some very lucky people out there. I think they should also do some super lotto picks. LOL

I won MOM, MOW, and MOD all in one month (or week... can't recall). Just the luck of the draw. Nothing sinister about it, all randomly selected by the computer.

I thought MOM and MOW were chosen by the mods. Back when they used to have those that is!

It just seems like incredible "odds" when the computer randomly picks the same MOD more than once.

Yes, MOM and MOW were chosen by the mods - but it was basically a win.

When I posted: "Just the luck of the draw. Nothing sinister about it, all randomly selected by the computer." I meant it was just the luck of the draw I also won MOD.

MOD was random of course. My bad for posting wrong information!

Well I'm really curious about the way it is chosen also. My understanding is that the person has to have logged on the previous day. Am I wrong? I ask because my sister who signed up years ago and never visits, won MOD a few months ago. Of course I told her and she got her amazon code. But I was shocked when I saw her name.

I hope there is some sort of system. (Like having to log in the previous day) That rewards the people who actually visit and participate on the site and make it more interesting for the rest of us!

I've been checking every day just to see if some of my favorite DOD posters have been winning ... I've been very surprised that I have won about 3 times in the past couple months... then again I had been a member for 5 years and never won at all in the past 4!

I thought you had to log in and post and the computer randomly picks you...

But yeah I wanna see all the rest of you faithful DOD posters win too!!!!!!! You're all awesome people and deserve a good win!

I also really like when someone wins that I know. I just like it when the person that wins claims their prize so it is not wasted that day. I have also been a member for over 5 years and have never seen my name. I wonder if there is somewhere to check to see what names have been called. Whenever I go away for a few days which isn't very often I always wonder if I missed my name. LOL Maybe it's better that I can't go back and check to see if I missed it.
