Re: Potty Training

Aww...how cute!
Our potty training days are long over.....my two girls are 10 and 13!
Losts of memories tho, I remember how my oldest would sit for the longest time with a book,,,,,,.....even when she didn't have to go. She also used to sit a huge teddy bear on the toilet.
We never used a potty chair, we started in on the regular toilet...is that what you are doing?

Re: Potty Training

LOL....he fell asleep!!! That is sooo cute. My oldest is 6 and training was pretty hard for her. She wasn't fully trained until 4. I know that's sounds awful, but that's just the way it was. She was pee pee trained definitely by about 2 1/2 maybe 3, but she just couldn't do poops there. Very traumatic...lol. Sorry about the pee pee, poo poo talk, but hey that's how it is when you're a mom... I now have a 9 month old baby girl, so I will be venturing down this road again some day.

Congrats on how well he is doing!!! You're obviously doing a great job too.

Re: Potty Training

Ohhhhhhhh how darn cute!!!

LOL..Karen, he was pooped out..how giggle worthy!!

My youngest will be 10 in October so it has been a long time since those days for us as well. I ALWAYS had a few kiddie books in the bathroom for my kids...it was their choice to have private time or have me read them. My oldest had a "set back" when it came to making it through the night w/o an "accident". His dad and I divorced and it was like we had to go through the whole night time thing all over again. None of the three were what I would consider a "nightmare in potty training"...well...I admit going through the nights again w/ the oldest wasn't peachy..LOL!

Re: Potty Training

DD daughter is potty training the grandson. He is doing really good too. He just turned two. She's been doing this for a few weeks and he will both poo-poo and pee-pee in the potty. You usually have to remind him, but she has even stopped him in the middle of a "poop" and taken him to the potty where he finishes his "job". He is such a smart kid(and no, that's just not grandma talking(LOL), that I don't think she will have any problem getting him trained.

Re: Potty Training

Oh how cute. My son is long potty trained. He is 15 and would die if he knew I was talking about his potty training. I would cut toilet paper into shapes and have him sink the shapes. Got to teach that aim. He trained easy but also had a short set back when we moved to a new house. He never would use a kiddie toilet. Had to be just like the big peaple. So we had a stool that he could climb up on.What memories.
