| Pets.com, Mothernature.com, Furniture.com, Oh the list is to numerous to continue. Anyway, is anyone culling this information for a list? a To our customers and friends, Effective November 27, 2000, E-Stamp will begin to phase out its Internet Postage operations and shift the Company's focus entirely to web-based shipping and logistics solutions. We encourage you to continue to enjoy the benefits of an offline Internet Postage solution through Neopost Online and its Simply PostageŽ product (http://www.e-stamp.com/promailoffer). We have reviewed other Internet Postage solutions and believe that Neopost Online's Simply Postage offers the strongest alternative to E-Stamp Internet Postage. Neopost Online is a subsidiary of Neopost Inc., the world's second largest mailroom equipment provider with 70 years of experience in the postage industry. Like E-Stamp, Simply Postage offers convenient and secure offline capabilities. Its other benefits include: * An integrated postage meter, scale and printer * Addresses do not need to be entered * Simply Postage is an offline solution so there is no need for continuous connection to the Internet To help make the transition easier, Neopost Online is making special offers available to all former E-Stamp customers who migrate to their Simply Postage product. Please see details at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] While our product is no longer available for purchase, current customers can purchase and download postage until December 31, 2000. However effective January 7, 2001, coinciding with the expected postal rate increase announced by the U.S. Postal Service, you will need to override the letter rate from 33 to 34 cents. We will be supporting customers and taking returns until March 1, 2001. Important customer support information and instructions will be available on the E-Stamp Web site (http://www.e-stamp.com). We have truly appreciated your business in helping us to pioneer Internet Postage. Over a year ago, E-Stamp became the first company to receive USPS approval for Internet Postage technology and was the first company to offer Internet Postage commercially. We believe in the long-term viability of Internet postage, and anticipate that in time, Internet postage will be the standard method for applying postage to letters and packages. However, the business reality of operating in a highly-regulated environment, combined with the change in valuation model of Internet companies, were key factors influencing our decision to assess our postage business and leverage the greater opportunities presented by the shipping and logistics industry. We hope that you have appreciated the convenience of Internet Postage and your buying experience with us. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for being a valued customer of E-Stamp's Internet Postage technology. Your support has meant a great deal to us. Please read the following information about your E-Stamp account: * E-Stamp will provide support throughout the holiday season. You may continue to purchase postage through E-Stamp until December 31, 2000. E- Stamp will not be supporting the new rates that are likely to come into effect on January 7, 2001. Therefore, customers will have to consider the postage rate adjustment if using the product after that date. * Neopost Online's special offer to current E-stamp customers is available until January 31, 2001. * Unfortunately, postal regulations do not permit a transfer of unused postage between E-Stamp and Neopost Online. In order to receive full credit for postage that you have purchased, but elected not to use, and therefore have remaining on your vault, please contact the E-Stamp product returns number below. Credit will be issued in the form of a check from E- Stamp. Refunds for unused postage will be issued through March 31, 2001. * Our last shipment of E-Stamp Internet Postage product took place on Friday November 24, 2000. * In line with US Postal Service regulations, all postage vaults (the little black brick that plugs into the back of your computer) must be returned to E-Stamp. Call 1 888 4-E-Stamp extension #1 or #2 and you will receive return instructions and an RMA number for returning the vault. Refunds for postal vaults will be granted for units purchased and shipped after September 1, 2000. E-Stamp's Customer Care is available Monday through Friday from 5 am to 10 pm PST and 9 am to 6 pm on weekends. To reach E-Stamp by phone, please call 1-888 4-E-Stamp (3-78267). | **** now cyberrebate will be using THIS as an excuse for not sending any rebates. This is what I am sure cyberrebate is saying: "We would of sent the rebates but our stamp company went out of business" and "Gee golly ****ed off customers, It takes longer than a year and half to get a phone number, just keep emailing us in the meantime". |
