Chatter box Our 9 year old changed the words to a Guns N' Roses Song

Earlier today Codey and I were driving home from the store. Knocking on Heaven's Door came on the radio. At the time it sounded like he knew the words...he definitely knew who sang the song. Well...we were just out in garage when he belted out "Knock, knock, knockin' on the bedroom do-OOR."
LMBO! Well, he may not know the words, but I guess he's showing he has some manners...LOL!
When Kenny and I started giggling over those words...he changed it to Hallie's door..LOL!

Re: Our 9 year old changed the words to a Guns N' Roses Song

Hehehe cute.

My 5 year old is totally into 80's music. A couple weeks ago he had a field trip and was going to be riding with another mom from Preschool. Well without me knowing, he snuck one of my 80's CD's with him and asked the mom to play it. He wanted to listen to Twisted Sister's "We're not gonna take it" and Europe's "The Final Countdown."

The mom probably thinks we're a bunch of freaks over here! lol

It's funny, we always bucked our parents when they didn't approve of the music we listened to. Now my 5 year old is listening to the music I liked and I see a change in his attitude when he listens to it (he struts around with headphones on with this snarl on his face.)

Re: Our 9 year old changed the words to a Guns N' Roses Song

LOL! How cute!!! I still love that TS song...I don't care for Dee Snyder (or Snider?!?!) (just because he acts like a jerk hosting some of the shows on VH1, MTV, etc..) I have only banned one "group" from our house, car and sons ears. There isn't a parent here that would blame me either...I about died!!!!!!!! I was telling my 13 yro. son to get it that crap outta the stereo and to NEVER, EVER listen to it again if he wanted to keep his stereo or personal CD player...ICP (Insane Clown Posse) OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know who even loaned him the CD, but it's probably best that I don't/didn't..LOL!

Now tonight I heard a song for the FIRST time ever and I HAVE to have the CD. Releases in 1973..Montrose (band and album title)..Rock Candy (song title)...I listened to the samples on Amazon and I think I love'em all! I had never heard of Montrose, but I figured out why I loved it..Sammy Hagar was vocals!
