Rolling eyes "iGarbage"...for the love of!

I couldn't believe it! I was channel surfing tonight and on one of the shopping channels they were selling an $80 electronic garbage can. When you hold your hand in front of this, get this, the lid lifts off! 3 seconds later it closes!

First off, no way in heck is that worth 80 bucks. Secondly, why not just get a garbage can without a lid? It wont smell if you empty it daily and spray some Lysol. Thirdly, is it that much work or that difficult to hold the lid open? Even when scraping off plates, they act like it's so difficult to push the lid open a bit.

I don't know, maybe I just don't get it. I don't think I'd ever pay more than $5 for a garbage can. It's a GARBAGE can, .

Re: "iGarbage"...for the love of!

LOL, you have a point.

Although..I was thinking about this...because I can totally see your point and I started to go off in my mind (yes I do that occassionally but it's ok ) about it BUT then I stopped myself and thought...

This may be a good product for older people who have trouble getting around and holding something and lifting a garbage lid at the same time. So, in effect it could be a good thing and a good product for people who aren't able to do everything like they used to..

BUT, I also agree that $80 is absolutely RI-DARN-DICULOUS for a TRASH can?!?!?!

Good product for some...HORRENDOUS price for any!

Well that just beats anything stupid I have ever seen sold. What is next, electronic Toilet Paper rolls. I guess you can sell anything. My son is still fascinated by the fact that someone invented those packing bags full of air that go in boxes to keep things from breaking. First time he saw them he said "mom, people are selling air"!!! Too funny

LOL! I once wrote an article on here about how much they charge for some of these stupid things like trash cans. That was a few years ago when we had the articles up.

Re: "iGarbage"...for the love of!

Well now that depends! If it has the Binford 2000 trash can opener motor or not. That puppy-dog has 125 HP and revs out at 6500 with 135 lbs of torque...Oooo-Oooo-Oooo! Couple that with the new Bindford trash compactor and you have yourself one souped up disposal system that will make the testosterone in any man spike! Oooo-Ooooo-Ooooo!

Oh and a gas powered toilet paper roll would be awesome! Crank that baby up and let the sheet fly. I mean sheets fly! Oooo-Oooo-Oooo!

Yeah good point. I said the same thing about the jar openers, then realized for people with arthritis its great. But if someone has trouble getting the lid off...just buy a cheap can without a lid and stick it under the sink. Solves that problem .

Oh well, if you make it they will buy it...most of the time!

I think those HSN's are kind of sad though....some people get addicted to them.

Wow thats a crazy price! I about died laughing the other night when I saw an electric toothbrush that puts a "special measured amount" of toothpaste on it for you!!! You have to buy specially made toothpaste and stick the container inside the toothbrush.
