DNA Results are in
Well the DNA results came in today I have a two year old granddaughter that I have never seen. My son is a father he has all ways wanted a child well now he has one but has never seen her. He was at home one night waiting for his wife to come home they even had company that they had invited over and she never showed up. He later found out that her and her mother had taken off together. He said as far as he knew they were getting along great so did not understand her taking off. She had a girl almost 9 months to the day after she left but we didn't know this until the baby was about 6 months old. Because she was telling everyone that the baby was not my son's he just let it go. Well then she decided she wanted a divorce and said the baby was his he has been paying child support while waiting on the DNA tests. She didn't even give the baby his last name he is trying to get that changed when they go to court. Sorry if I am rambling I just find this so hard to understand she knows we love our grandkids heck I am raising two of them. Why would she do this?

I don't know why she would do thist, it is just awful and so heartbreaking for you.

Instead of dwelling on the tragic aspects, I am thinking of the joy when you get to meet her for the first time and show her how much you all love her. Won't that be wonderful?

No Shaina this is his only child we were told that they went to Arizona to visit her Uncle then to Missouri to see her sister. This family has a history of just walking out her mom and dad have been apart more then they have been together. Thanks Ver I am looking forward to getting to know her it will be hard because the other 4 that don't live with me I can go get any time I want I think my dd's like it that I will sometimes show up on Friday to keep them for the whole weekend. The two that do live with me my dd is in the process of getting custody back now. Whitequeen he was beside himself he ended up losing a really good job making over 14 dollars an hour because he couldn't function for a while. He is doing so much better now he has his own place and when he found out that he was going to have to pay child support he asked to have it taken out of his check so he would not miss a payment. I am proud of him for that. Some guys have to be chased down to pay.

well altelast he found out this early and not after she was all grown up. i know it don't get back the two years already passed. its a bad deal how everything happened but i hope everything works out for y'all. if i was him i would be in court fighting for full custody.

In Oklahoma for a man to get custody is next to impossible he has asked his lawyer to try we will see what that brings.

Wow that is sad. Good news though also. Something like this happened to my brother down to birth certificate and all. She also just took off. It is hard.

Please for your grandchilds sake have your son ask if mental health check can be done on his ex-wife to be.Since abandonment of marrage took place there might be a risk of her abandoning the child.

Please stand up for your son's right to be a parent to his little girl.Girls need their fathers more than some seem to think they do.

Remember to file for grandparent rights as well.

At the risk of being strung up by my fellow ladies here.......you know how vindictive and downright nasty & b****y some of us can be. There may be no logical explanation for what she did or why she did it except in her own mind. She also might have a very manipulative mother (didn't she do the same type of thing). I am glad that your son is fighting for his rights. Tell him to document everything that happens or that she says. You never know when you might need it. I will pray for your gd...what's her name? Good luck....Debbie
