anyone see the talladega race sunday? i made this post to see how many nascar fans were on the board and to get their thoughts from time to time on the races. peace

I wouldn't say I'm a FAN, but I made the decision to pick my own guy..LOL! Ok, I don't know WHO he is, but he drives the Office Depot car...hubby says I help sponsor him...LMBO!

I watch by default...talk about a friggin' bunch of excitement Sunday!!!!!!

Hubby and 2 older sons root for Junior...youngest son is a Gordon dude all of the way. He even named his Teddy Bear Hamster Gordey (Gordey= Gordon + Codey)..LOL!
Hubby was none to happy about the race...I told him it was karma...believe me, he should have known better than to start celebrating so verbally when he did...LOL!

True NASCAR fan here. I'm not that much into the Busch and Truck series, but I love the Nextel Cup. I was a Dale Earnhardt fan for years. Since that accident that took his life, I've been more or less a Dale Jr. fan. It doesn't bother me which driver wins the race, except for 1. There are 43 cars/drivers in a race. 42 of them can win and it's ok with me. The driver I can't stand is the one that won Sunday. I have disliked him since he came into the cup series. Don't ask me why, cause I don't know.

As far as the race Sunday, it was great til the finish. Then I was depressed. But, the good thing was that Jr. moved into the top 10 in points. So that was cool. With his new crew, I wasn't sure he would make the chase, but looks now like he might.

BIG Nascar fan here! And I am a Tony Stewart fan all the way. I don't care too much for "Jr." , and Gordon isn't exactly in my top few either. My dd and I love "Smoke" I even have a T.S. mouse pad. ..I know...it's a sickness! hehehe

True Dale fans do not speak "that" name. lol There's a few other names we have for him around this house, but I don't want to be banned.

And pretty much ditto with Flash. For the most part I don't care who wins except - well you know. We do prefer a Chevy to win, or someone from DEI.
The race on Sunday was nuts. Talladega usually gives a good show.

yeah i know what u mean. same here for your guy. im a gordon fan and i've heard him called lots of names. even heard people say stuff i can't repeat but lets face it. he is
a good driver and a four time champion whether people like him or not. im not picking on anyone elses driver out there either because as we all know many of the new guys could easily win the next championship.
