Garmin Forerunner 201

Okay, so I am a total gadget geek. I am training for a marathon and my run last Saturday was supposed to be 18 miles, well we did a little creative running and changed our route around and when i tracked it on the car it was only 16 miles Well, I went out to Target today and picked up the GArmin Forerunner 201. It is a GPS system that you wear as a watch and it tells you your mileage run, when you do a 1 mile lap, you can upload running info onto the computer to keep track of your runs. Totally unneccessary gadget, as my stopwatch told me we needed to do 2 more miles but I listened to the coach instead and we did less! So now I will know if i did 18 or 16 or more or less My husband is going to kill me for this splurge purchase. I will tell him not to get me flowers for mothers day Maybe I should work on getting the house clean so it looks like i really did something today

Well, I am really excited about this new toy, cant wait for it to get charged up so i can play with it

Does anyone have this toy? wondering what other peoples opinions are? Now we have 2 GPS's in the house so when we go geocaching, which isn't often, we have to systems to compare Good argument right

I don't have that gps, but I have 3 others. I was never into gadgets until I got into geocaching. I first had the yellow etrex gps, sold it to a friend and got a vista. Then I saw the yellow geko on sale, so I bought that and gave it to my oldest daughter to use. Then, I met up with some people that have the street pilot in their car. It talks and gives turn by turn directions. I ended up buying that too. I'm addicted to gps's!!

When I go caching I usually have a gps, a palm pilot and the cell phone. My husband can't believe how "geeky" I have become with all these electronic gadgets.
