Need a new ceiling fan and some help, please

My old ceiling fan has been giving me some problems lately and I'm in the market for a new one, with a light attachment, since this one is going over my kitchen table. Now, my question is...which is better...a four blade fan or a five blade fan. The one over the table is a four blade one. When I was in the store the other day, I saw one with five blades that I liked. The sales person was busy with another customer and I couldn't wait to ask him this question. Other than an additional blade, is there any difference in air flow, etc??? Any help would be greatly appreciated, since I would like to have this done within the next few weeks.

TIA,
dibogart

Definitely get the 5 blade. And try to get at least 52" spread. I have the same ceiling fan in 3 of my rooms (living room, and both bedrooms) and an older one in the dining room that has a tiffany shade hanging from a huge chain from the motor mount.

I bought all 3 at Home Depot - They were on sale - 20% off from 79.00. It's the Hampton Bay Belevedere. Has a nice mottled dome light (not the tulip light shades) and is creating a wonderful flow of air.

Check out Home Depot for their fans. Best prices and nice selection. Everyone here has ceiling fans in all their rooms to help with the summer heat. The fans really help the a/c coolness.

Thanks Toby Lee for the help. I'll be making a trip to Home Depot in the morning.
