| Underwear Police Please Well, as many of you know my MIL has lived with me for a long time and she recently moved to her daughters as DH finally saw how hard it was on me. Well, when DH brother moved her out he apparently was only interested in her Jewelry, Minks, things of value. While I was giving her a bath, he apparently helped himself to things in my bedroom. DH sister just emailed me and apparently while unpacking she found my "underwear". This consisted of PJ's and bras, etc. She said she would send them back. I emailed her back and informed her that since I didn't know why DH brother would have gone through my drawers and taken only underwear, I really didn't want them back. My main concern was for my MIL, but apparently that was the last thing on their mind. Well, guess I will have to go to Walmart or hit the internet for some more things. I think this was pretty funny.

| Re: Underwear Police Please What did your DH say when he found out the his brother had been in your bedroom and gone through your drawers? I find it odd that he searched other rooms other than her bedroom. I would also check your jewelry and things? And just curious how many days has your MIL been there and they are just NOW noticing she has no underwear? Glad you find humor in this, guess that is the only way to be now! BTW how are you feeling with all your injuries?

| Re: Underwear Police Please All my injuries are doing much better now that I finally have time to rest. DH is really upset, as am I because aside from the "underwear" some of my deceased daughter's jewelry was also missing. Because we have so many people in and out of the house, I don't keep anything in my jewelry boxes, I keep it in my underwear drawer. We are missing a lot of things. DH sister sent back my daughter's earrings, along with some photos of our oldest son that were taken, but as for my underwear, there is no excuse. I would never go through anyones drawers. Her bedroom was no where near mine but, apparently while I was giving her a bath he made his way into my room. I can't find anything else missing, but I am looking. His sister emailed me and informed me that she "found" MIL's engagement ring which went missing during her last visit. What idiots. Meanwhile, they can have my underwear if they really want it. I wouldn't trade my rest and freedom for anything. |

| Re: Underwear Police Please Okay Melissa, you have some truely weird in-laws! A true gentleman of the South would nevah touch a lady's undergarments much less steal it! That is plumb appalling!

| Re: Underwear Police Please Yes, DH is still laughing about it. I think we are done dealing with those people. I have taken care of MIL, and FIL, and Great grandma, etc. I have done more than my share. I should write a movie about this, or at least an article. DH brought me home a little gift basket from Victoria's Secret today. He said he did it as a joke and to replace some of my things. Too funny. |

| Re: Underwear Police Please No, you are right, they had no idea that they would have no freedom, and would be bitten, etc. They have been trying to "return" her since she left. DH said, no way. We have turned the situation into humor, wondering what MIL is doing. SIL emails are always at 2 or 3 am so I know she now knows what I used to do. I feel bad, knowing that I did everything I could and I know that she is not as patient with MIL, but as DH said, I have done too much, all I could. As for my underwear, lord they can have them. I think Brother in Law, just looted my drawers (LOL) and took everything he could in a short period of time. Anyone who would drive in a pouring rain storm for 18 hours with an 84 year old woman is crazy according to my mom. I finally have my home back, finally don't have to get up at all hours, it is so peaceful. I am actually having to adjust to not being awake all the time. DH and I are getting ready to buy an RV and plan to spend the summer just resting and enjoying the states. Haven't been able to do that since 1990. But, alas, I guess I will have to do so without underwear!!! ![]() |

| Re: Underwear Police Please DH and I have laughed and laughed. We just look at each other and bust out laughing thinking about all this stuff. Last night I was folding the clothes and threw a pair of "underwear" at him. I told him to send it to his brother, he had missed one. We nearly fell out laughing. It is pretty silly now. I guess the gene pool in his family skipped a generation. What makes it even worse is his brother is a psychiatrist!!! Guess he has access to therapy. |

| Re: Underwear Police Please Good grief! That is just too weird! Is there any chance your MIL took the stuff and put it in her room BEFORE your BIL packed her up? And did you get your daughter's jewelry back? I'm sure that would be very painful to lose. Whatever happened, I'm glad you're enjoying your new freedom! |
