question for all you moms out there

I have had 4 kids, and we are not having any more children. But sometimes I will dream that I am pregnant again. It is so funny- has that ever happened to you? Or I might be late on my period, and think "Could I be pregnant?" Even though we have taken precautions to never get pregnant again. I have even felt a little queasy. I think I may have single handedly supported the pregnancy test industry-lol.

Re: question for all you moms out there

Funny you should mention this, because I've been feeling cruddy every morning lately, and today I felt really queasy. I told DH that maybe I should take a pregnancy test.

I do occasionally dream that I have another baby.

Maybe it's just such an awesome time of our lives, we have a hard time letting it go.

Re: question for all you moms out there

I've had a tubal ligation as well and I'm telling ya...I still have the preggie dreams AND there have been a few times I've wondered "could I?"...obviously I don't want to be because I wouldn't have taken the precautions that I did...LOL! I have a few friends from whom (or who?) I can "borrow" a baby if the need gets THAT great...LOL!

Re: question for all you moms out there

I am right there with you gals. Before my hysterectomy, I did that all the time. Once, I was scheduled for laser surgery (before the tubal) for endometriosis, and I was joking with a friend. I said "maybe I should do a pregnancy test to make sure I'm not pregnant" I don't know what made me actually do it, but I was pregnant with Michaela!!!! What a shocker that was!!!!!! I'm glad I was actually listening to God that time instead of ignoring those niggling feelings I get.

Re: question for all you moms out there

Every once in a while I'll dream that I'm pregnant or have a baby. I had a tubal at 23, just started going through menopause about 4 months ago, am almost 45 and have a 2 year old grandson. I have to say that when I wake up, I am very much relieved....

Re: question for all you moms out there

After I had my baby I got an IUD, and still have not "done" anything that would result in a baby, but I still had the pregnant dream the other night. In my dream I was thinking, "Well, I guess I must have done something before the IUD, cause now I'm pregnant", lol.

My cousin went in to have a tubal and they asked her if she could be pregnant. She said "Well, I am a day late". They did a test, and sure enough she was pregnant! Crazy how things happen.

Oh my gosh!! You are the first person who spells Michaela the same way I do. My daughter is 7 and she has 4 other girls in garde that have the same name but spell it makayla.

I have these dreams all the time. I wish I could have a boy ( we have 2 daughters 5 & 7) But, due to having gestational dibeties both times my doctors say for sure having another baby would give me dibeties. As it is now I have to watch everything I eat. But, I would love to hold and cuddle a baby. I guess I will have to wait at least 20 years to have a grandchild (hopefully)
