Anybody here quit smoking?

It has been 5 years since I last had a cigarette. Do you still miss it? How did you quit? How long did you smoke for? I do miss it sometimes. But then I take a deep breath, and remember how tight my chest use to feel. I smoked off and on for about 10 years.

Re: Anybody here quit smoking?

I quit smoking cold turkey 1 yr. 8 months and 2 days ago. I smoked for about 10 years, too. Every once in a while I do miss it, but never enough that I'm really afraid I'll go back. Occaisionally when I pass someone outside who is smoking, I do admit to myself that it smells d*** good and take a big whiff. Of course, then there are the other times when I pass them and am annoyed that they're smoking around me, lol.

Re: Anybody here quit smoking?

I quit cold turkey five years ago Saint Pat's day. I had smoked for about 28-29 years. I can't say that I miss it but sometimes it's like okay what do I do now. When people say that they had been quit for 5 years or longer and started back up it freaks me out. No way will I start back if for no other reason then the awful time I went through when I quit.
