Wondering about digital Camcorders.
I was considering buying a new camcorder and was thinking of going with a Sony MiniDV. I was wondering if anyone here has one and what your opinion of it is?

Right now I have a basic VHS-C kind.

I would love one of the new ones that records right to DVD, but they're still pretty spending. (I'm sure in a couple years they'll be much cheaper).

I have a Samsung mini-dv and I love it. It's so much easier to just transfer the files to the PC, edit, and burn the DVD's. Mark really enjoys doing it, and he's made some great DVD's of the kids..with music and everything. I can find out more from him re: editing software and stuff if you'd like.
