Heres your sign...

Ever watch blue collar tv or Jeff Foxworthy? Post your stories of people you would have given a stupid sign to if you could.

Today I went to a restaurant across the street from the hospital to have lunch. Dressed in scrubs and name tag that says nursing I went to order my food. Of course it was wrong and I even told her it would be wrong before it got to me. Explaining it 10 times was not enough. Anyway, she starts playing with her hair and says " I was thinking about getting some highlights in my hair, what would you charge to do my hair? " I kept thinking about how nice it would be to have a stupid sign right then. But I kept my mouth shut and explained very politely that nurses don't work in hair salons.

Re: Heres your sign...

Like she needs to be blonder? lol

My hubby could have used a sign tonight. I noticed the "low battery" light on his alarm clock was on, so I told him I should put a new one in. He said it really didn't matter. I said that way he didn't have to reset the time every time the electricity went out. And he goes "It's not for the time, it's for the alarm."

What???

I shouldn't have had to, but I hit him with a "duh" when I told him the alarm certainly wouldn't work if the time wasn't working!

oh well . . . here's your sign.

Re: Heres your sign...

My hubby deserved the sign yesterday...

During his drive home I had talked to him on the cell phone...told him I was going to take a quick shower since I had done some heavy duty stuff that day. I just walked out of the bathroom dressed, but w/ a towel on my head. He asks "Just get out of the shower???" No babe, it was the freakest thing...a rain storm just swept right in and...."Ok, ok, ok...that was dumb...where's my sign??" LOL! At least he had the smarts to know where I was going with it..LOL!

Re: Heres your sign...

<sigh> This time the award goes to my 12 yro. son. Last Friday morning I had a conference at my oldest sons school. It was at 10 a.m...AND it's about a 45 minute drive for me...the youngest is the last to get to school...which he leaves here at 8:45 (give or take)...to make a long story short...I got pulled over for speeding. It had been awhile since I had taken this particular route and I wasn't QUITE sure what the speed limit was. I was going 45 in a 35...altho a 45 MPH limit sign was posted about 100 yards from where I was actually stopped. Thankfully I was just given a verbal warning. Later in the day DH and I were telling Logan (12 yro.) how I had gotten pulled over....he asks "By who?" Uhhhhhhhhhhhh Logan, it was the Schwan man of course...he wanted to know if I was interested in ordering some ice cream bars!!!!
Get this...THEN he went on to ask "WHY?" It got so bad that DH and I just said "Forget it..." After that he finally realized how dopey he was being...LOL! I'm telling ya...he has always been a merit honor roll or honor roll student, but he's seriously beginning to scare us! LOL!

Re: Heres your sign...

As most of you know I usually work 2nd shift. About a month and a half ago, I got put on 1st shift. I went back to 2nd shift last week. I'm usually up till 4 or 5 in the morning when I'm on 2nd shift. Monday morning, I went to bed about 4. Beffie's alarm went off at 5:30 so she could get DS up for school. She hit the "snooze" button, about 10 minutes later it goes off again. A minute went by and then she nudges me and asks: "What time do you have to be at work today?" I said "3". She then "seriously" says to me: "Get UP!! It's 5:30, you're late!" I said "BEFFIE!" She then says: "Oh yeah, I remember. Sorry." I think she forgot at that moment that I was back on 2nd shift.
