What kinds of TV shows did you watch as a little kid?

I watched Sesame Street, and the Electric company!

Re: What kinds of TV shows did you watch as a little kid?

We were too poor to own a television. I had to watch the dog groom itself instead. Okay, that is not totally true. We had a television, but on Saturday mornings we had to go outside until lunch and then back out until dinner. I would sneek over to a friends house to watch cartoons. Slam Bang Theater with Icky Twerp was my favorite. Not much educational value, but it was fun.

Re: What kinds of TV shows did you watch as a little kid?

While babysitting I had to watch Howdy Doody every day and got to hate it! At home we were one of the last to get a TV, but my dad and brothers had to watch the fights! I didn't have any choice.

Me too! Also ... Mighty Mouse, Gumby, Yogi Bear, and later, Gilligan's Island.

I forgot about Wonderama. I loved that show. "Kids are people too". LOL I would run home in 6th grade to see Dark Shadows. Anyone remember a show called I think Winky Dink? You would put a piece of plastic on the TV screen and then draw with a crayon to help Winky Dink.

I'm not sure if it was a local show, it could have been. My husband remembers watching it in Fresno, CA and I was in San Diego, CA

Re: What kinds of TV shows did you watch as a little kid?

What was the one about the family that went back in time to the age of the dinosaurs? Some kind of time wrap sucked them in while driving on a camping trip. Was it "The Land Before Time?"

Re: What kinds of TV shows did you watch as a little kid?

Was it Land of the Lost? Now that doesn't sound right either. Do you remember the show It's About Time? It was where astronauts went back to caveman times. Or Time Tunnel?

Re: What kinds of TV shows did you watch as a little kid?

Mostly, Land of the Lost, Wonderama, The Flintstones, Speed Racer, Droopy cartoons, Tom & Jerry, Hattie The Witch. I know theres more but I can't think of them right now.

I have the first season Of Land Of The Lost on DVD and watching it compared to tv shows today it looks so generic. Remember the Sleestak & Cha-ka from the series? Really strange watching it now. lol

Oh yeah.....can't forget Popeye.
