What kinds of things do you do to keep healthy?

What kind of exercise do you do? Eat a certain way? Avoid anything. Do you notice a difference?

I try to take a Centrum multi-vitamin every day. I go walking every day also. I use to do kick boxing every day for about a year, but I got bored with it. Thats my problem, I get bored! If I lived closer to a gym I probably would go. I have a treadmill, but I haven't used it very much the last few weeks, I have been walking outside instead.

As far as eating healthy, I probably have the worst eating habits out of all of you. Its a miracle I don't weigh hundreds of pounds! I have tried going without sugar, but I can't do it more than a week or so. Usually its the weekends that is my undoing to healthy eating. We have been known to eat out 3-4 times a weekend!

We're probably tied for worst eating habits. I told someone the other day that I didn't have a "sweet tooth", I had "sweet teeth"(LOL). I'm on the Atkins Diet "again" and my sweet craving is driving me nuts. I lost 20 pounds on the Atkins diet last year and managed to gain 10 of it back over the holidays. Recently tried on my clothes from last summer and can't get into them. So here we go again. I try to walk 4 miles a day--give or take a day, but it's been so cold that I haven't been very successful recently. But I do like to walk and it's probably the healthest thing that I do. Try to take vitamins, but it's def. a hit and miss thing with me.

I work out twice a week doing TaeKwonDo and Hapkido. My son and I are both brown belts.

I go to the gym 4x a week....follow the Weight Watchers Program.....and stay away from the kitchen after 7:00pm!!!!

I walk 2 times a day for 45 minutes each time (sometimes 3 times a day depending on what my day is like) My first walk is right after I wake up, My second walk is usually around 2:30pm and if I take a 3rd walk it's around 6pm.
I completely gave up coffee and cigarettes. I drink green tea and do my best to drink water. I eat yogurt for breakfast, yogurt and a fruit fo lunch and then for dinner I let myself eat whatever I feel like having.
I'm averaging about a 5 lb a week weight loss and I feel great! I have so much energy since I started walking

I'm fortunate enough to live in a neighborhood with a paved street which is approx. 1/2 mile in front of my house. The street into my neighborhood deadends, so not much traffic. If I walk all the cul-de-sacs, my round trip 3 times is approx. 4 miles. We also have a neat little walking path around our "lake" and sometimes I go down there.

I walk around the area between mine and my sisters house, it's about a mile and a half from the time I leave my house until the minute I step back in front of my door (so I do about 3 miles a day on an average day). I've had 2 people I know bug me to let them walk with me but it's my time, this I want to do alone.

That is quite a transformation...congrats

Ok..I take my Daily Vitamin/Min supplement(Rite-Aid-cheaper then Centrum).
Also add 500 mg of Vitamin C. Also slip in some extra Zinc if I feel that I might be getting anything. Try to workout 2-3 times a week-weights, rowing machine. Stay away from the Cigs!

I try to eat healthy foods as often as I can, not only for my sake but to set a good example for my kids and to have them grow up knowing what good food is.

We eat whole grain breads most of the time, along with whole wheat pasta and tortillas. We eat red meat about once a week, and usually have a vegetarian meal (bean burritos, spinach ravioli, etc.) once or twice a week. We eat fast food maybe once a month, or if we're on a vacation.

I try not to miss my Pilates class twice a week because I feel so good after class. I was walking around the neighborhood on a regular basis until about the first of this year, when I cut back a bit because my walking partner moved to another neighborhood. We have a treadmill that I use a few times a week. It's in the garage where we have an old TV set up, so I can watch the morning news while I walk.

One more thing I do when I'm feeling stressed is diaphragmatic breathing. It really helps with my mental health.
