| Re: Brag on your kids, their actions that make you laugh or feel proud Bronson just had his preschool conferences and the things the teacher said made me so proud. She said the kids really like Bronson. She also said at this age many of the boys know how others are feeling, but they just don't really care. But Bronson always shows concern for how others are feeling and lets the teachers know when someone is sad or gets their feelings hurt. Makes me feel like I'm doing something right. One thing I think is extremely important for kids to learn is empathy. You're less apt to be hurtful if you are aware of others' feelings.

| Re: Brag on your kids, their actions that make you laugh or feel proud That's great, mayfly, that they can share (especially when it involves sharing treats with Mom LOL). Shainie, I agree about kids learning to empathize. You should give yourself a pat on the back! As for me, one thing that makes me proud of my DS is that about 4 years ago, his teacher said he was helpful in tutoring his classmates in math. In fact, she commented that he actually tailored his help to their particular learning styles! If I can brag a little, he was chosen as a finalist in a school science competition. My DD makes me proud when I pick her up from playing at a friend's house or from a sleepover and the parent comments on her good manners.

| Re: Brag on your kids, their actions that make you laugh or feel proud I have two daughters, who make me proud in different ways. My oldest who is 13, has very high morals, and treats all of her classmates equally, no matter what race or social/monetary status. Her teachers and friend's parents love her, and always tell me what a good kid she is. She volunteers at the local vet's office, and is willing to give any type of sport at least a try. My youngest, age 10, has always been a straight "A" student. She was the only child in her class to get a 4.0 last quarter. She is also in the Gifted program at school, and plays piano for nursing homes and talent shows. Her teacher told me she hasn't seen her challenged yet, as far as accademically. They are both very respectful to adults. They love animals and respect nature. |
