| Re: This is not even funny!! (Okay, maybe a little.) OH my gosh Shainie!!!! I would freak out! I hope and pray I never see a roach. Once I was sitting in the car, and a spider comes dangling down right before my eyes! I was trying to move it without IT getting into my hair!!!!!! I let out the biggest girly scream you ever heard. *shudder* something about creepy crawlies really gives me the willies!

| Re: This is not even funny!! (Okay, maybe a little.) When I was in college I lived in a roach infested house and the landlord refused to treat it. At night I would go into the kitchen and turn on the light and you could literally see the roaches running for cover. I felt like a white man in the middle of Indian country. You know, where the Indians line up on all the surrounding hills waiting to swoop down on the unsuspecting wagon train! When the lights went out, there would be a scurring sound of thousands of tiny little feet coming down from the tops of the cabinents and out of every crack and crevice. I tried bait and traps and every natural type fad to get rid of the little buggers, but it seemed like they thrived on everything. I cannot tell you how many times I would put on a shoe and hear a crunch! Only to pull my foot out with little legs dangling from my sock. The straw that broke the camel's proverbial back was when I was asleep one night. I had a dream that I was covered in roaches only to wake up with one camped out on my face. I sprung from my bed to find several more little buggers under the covers. I think they finally decided that they could eat me! I found another place and fumagated everything that I brought out of that old house so that they would not follow me to my new apartment and exact their revenge out on me for leaving them! I hate them little buggers! Kill them while you can before they decide to come after you!

| Re: This is not even funny!! (Okay, maybe a little.) Mayfly - I had the spider thing happen to be before too in the car! They come down from the roof right before your eyes. EEEEK! One time I was in my dad's truck and a really ugly looking spider was coming down from the roof and then fell!! I threw my back out I jerked myself so hard. I pulled over and jumped out of the truck. If it's just a normal looking spider, I don't have such a problem. I'll grab their web trail and move them out of the way. But if they're thick or multi-colored, forget it!

| Re: This is not even funny!! (Okay, maybe a little.) Telos - that story is just horrid! lol They surely aren't that bad around here. If I found them in my bed, there would be a "for sale" sign in the front yard. The worst for me was one day I went downstairs and as I walked across the clear plastic runner on the carpet I saw things moving. There were about a dozen of the things under the runner! I started jumping and stomping until the last one stopped moving. Oh, I did have the mush in the shoe one day too. I usually make a habit of tapping the heel of my shoe on the floor before putting them on. (Or wear thong sandals!)

| Re: This is not even funny!! (Okay, maybe a little.) I always pictured roaches only living in run-down apartments or some inner-city house with a leaky roof. lol So when I first saw them in our house (we have a nice home, bought new out in the country), I was in denial and just called them "beetles". For the most part they stay in our basement (we have a walk-out). It says the like the food and water you have around, but other than a toilet and the washing maching, there is no food or water in our basement! Not sure why they're here, but I'm hoping they move out. (And I've only seen one in the past 6 months - so I'm still hoping I'm a step ahead of them!)
