Re: Curious, Anyone else ever try the med Neurontin? I am using it. Have been for about 1 year. I had partial amputations on my feet and I take 600 mg 4 times aday. No bad reactions, just a little unsteady walking at first. That could have been because of my surgery. I do fine now. Hope you get better soon.

Re: Curious, Anyone else ever try the med Neurontin? I too used it for several years for leg pain. The only side effect I had was dry mouth. It did seem to help. It also made me a bit drowsy sometimes. I was also taking Zyrtec at the time and these are all side effects of that too. I to something called Skelactin (not spelled right) that was much more effective than the Neurontin. But I guess different things work for different people. My DH had pinched nerve and knee problems at the same time. His Dr. had him drink a lot of Tonic Water. It has Quinine in it, has no side effects. They also sell it over the counter. I have been using it at night for years, no more leg cramps.

| Re: Curious, Anyone else ever try the med Neurontin? Maybe you mean Skelaxin? I take this muscle relaxant now for the pain I experience in my neck, as a result of having two protruding discs. The pain from the discs causes my muscles in that area to tighten, so the Skelaxin helps a bit to lessen that.

Re: Curious, Anyone else ever try the med Neurontin? I am taking the Neurontin because my spine is all screwed up and on top of slipped and compressed discs, I have pinched nerves. It is helping with the pain though but it makes me drowsy sometimes and other times causes insomnia so go figure!!

Re: Curious, Anyone else ever try the med Neurontin? I'm doing really good, thanks for asking. It was my little toes and the bones on the outside of my feet. I have a wonderful doctor. He made house calls and I have his cell phone number. He worked for a year trying to save my toes. I am back to work (Wal-Mart cashier). They have been great. I sit on a stool at my register. They said I could sit and wait on people, but I can't, I think that is so rude. I couldn't sit there and let someone with a cane or walker get their own sacks. I hope things go well for you.
