How are you going to spend your refund??

My roomate and I are going to Hilton Head, SC for spring break and my money is going towards that. If I have any left over (which I highly doubt), it's going towards credit card debt.

Gotta love the Internet. We got all the info to file online including W2's. DH did the return in about 40 minutes using Turbo Tax. He e-filed 10 days ago and today it was in our bank. We slammed a chunk on a bill that we pay online and put the rest in savings. In a matter of seconds the Internet allowed us to pay the bill and move the balance to savings.

If there isn't some catastrophe between now and December, we plan on using some of it for a vacation in NYC during the 2005 Christmas holiday season.

Of course I am watching for a deal for a Dyson too! :::wink:::

We purposely left ours alone so we do get a refund, or that money would all be spend through the year. It usually goes towards something big for the house, preferably home improvement of some sort so it actually earns us equity as well as being able to enjoy it. This year the majority will go towards bills, but we will be putting in a new floor in our sunrooom.

In 2003 I invested $25000 in several high interest cd with a 5 year term. The yield was 20 percent tax free and fully insured by the Government. Interest was always paid on time and the cd expired last March 2008. One week after the expiration I received the principal amount. Fantastic yield and good service !

$1,800 tax rebate hit my bank account last Friday! I knew having my wife be a stay at home Mom would somehow pay off. Unfortunately, my single and married double income coworkers didn't get any rebate.

So, I bought presents for some coworkers who had double incomes that put them over the mark.
