Wow this was a strange survey site

I took a survey for American Express small business advisory panel. Today I got a $20 bill (not a check) but a $20 bill in the mail. I don't mind getting paid in cash but I found this kind of odd for American Express. Anyone else get cash in the mail for surveys?

I did a survey about what I drink and they later sent me a machine for me to record every thing that me and my grandson drank for seven days they sent me $85 cash through the mail.

Speaking of surveys has any one been doing them for Pinecone lately seems like a long time since I got one and I was doing about one a week for a long time.

I have gotten several from pinecone but no products to test even though they keep telling me that a "reputable manufacturor would like me to try their product" Kind of strange because they have always sent them in the past.

Now I am having sympathy pains for all of us survey doers. I used to love getting money in the mail for survey's but seems like it is not happening anymore. I keep getting all these invites for focus groups but they are all located in large areas, for ex in NC they are in Charlotte, Raleigh. I live around 4 hours from either. Not worth my while. You would think that the survey sites would target small town consumers, after all we matter too.

It has been years since I received cash in the mail. I thought it was against the law to mail US currency through USPS. Anyone know if that is fact or fiction?

As for Pinecone, it has been about 2 weeks since I have gotten any surveys. The last check arrived on 1/18. I did my last test for them over the holidays.

It's not illegal, it's just not advisable.

I got 2 checks for Pinecone this week. For some reason, I get the checks before I have to do the surveys. However, I haven't gotten any new products to try in quite awhile.

I just got $25 cash from Johnson & Johnson for a survey/product study.

As far as Pinecone goes, I just got 2 checks from them and just finished a product study for them yesterday.

Yippie, I just got $30 amazon certificate from testspin.com. They pay the instant you cash them in although it is really hard to qualify for a survey. Think I've been a member for 3 years and made around $80. Wish I could get some focus group surveys.
