But Will It Last?? Trump wedding this wkend.

NEW YORK (Jan. 1 - When Melania Knauss walks down the aisle to marry real estate mogul Donald Trump, she'll be wearing a sumptuous gown by Christian Dior.

Knauss chose the gown during the haute couture shows in Paris with help from Vogue editors Sally Singer and Andre Leon Talley.

She models the voluminous strapless gown - which took 550 hours of labor just to do the embroidery - on the cover of Vogue's February issue and Singer chronicles the shopping trip over 14 pages inside.

"Melania definitely got what she was looking for: a dress that would be absolutely special and a dress that could only be worn to one's wedding," Singer told The Associated Press Monday.

Knauss will marry Trump Saturday in Palm Beach, Fla. It will be the third marriage for Trump, host of the NBC reality show "The Apprentice."

This sounds remarkably similiar to the dress I wore at my own wedding!! I think they spent 550 hours of labor on my dress as well. What a coincidence!!!

I saw a picture of that dress today and I must say that it is one UGLY dress!!!! Not worth the $200,000.00 she spent on it!!!

I like this tidbit of information:

"The bride will be seated on a bench because the dress is too wide for a regular chair. She has been advised to eat heartily to keep up her strength wearing such a heavy garment."

Yeah, and their cake is surprisingly similar to the one at my wedding:

"There will actually be two cakes: the main cake and individual cakes for each guest patterned after the top tier. The main cake is orange Grand Marnier chiffon, filled with a light Grand Marnier butter creme. It will be covered with about 3,000 preformed white roses made of icing. It will be seven tiers, 32 inches in diameter, and weighing more than 200 pounds. The individual cakes are cupcake-sized, chocolate sponge with chocolate truffle filling and one rose on top." LOL

With the rate of celebrity break-ups, I hope it DOES last and I wish them well.

OMG!! I, of course, insisted on 3,000 preformed white roses made of icing too on my own wedding cake. And Grand Marnier chiffon- who doesn't get that? What are the odds that Eldo, Donald/Melania and myself all selected the exact same wedding cake! This is too weird!!
