Baffled Had to bring Toby back.
Well, surprisingly my husband wasn't the problem with me bringing a cat home.

My 4 year old ended up being allergic. By the time we got home from the shelter, his eyes were red and puffy and he said his throat itched. At first I didn't put 2 and 2 together. Toby hid much of the night, so Bronson was feeling better. Then in the morning Bronson wanted to pet Toby so we found him (hiding in the closet). It wasn't long and he started getting stuffed up again and red eyes.

I couldn't believe it.

DH said we could keep Toby if he stays outside. NOT. This kitty needed a warm home. He was shy and scared. Sticking him outside wasn't an option. I cried all day. Then when I brought him back to the shelter I bawled again while filling out the paperwork. Luckily there was a nice lady there who talked with me.

Even typing this brings tears to my eyes. I wanted to give this kitty a home so much. The night I brought him home I took him from his hiding spot and we fell asleep together in the recliner. My mom even said he seems comfortable when I was holding him.

I felt like an ogre bringing him back to the shelter. They understood though, and obviously knew how much it broke my heart.

Sorry to hear that it did not work out for you. I know how much you wanted this sweet little guy. He sure was a pretty cat. Reminded me of the cat I rescued from my works parking lot. She was pregnant and we let her have the kittens and kept for for several years until we moved. I was lucky and found a home for her right before we moved.

Awww,,,so sorry to hear that! But what can you do? I have a friend with a little girl who is allergic and she can't come to our home because of our two cats. She gets miserable, plus is ahsmatic.
He is a very pretty cat, blue in color like our General!

I know how bad you wanted him, and I feel really bad for you.
You tried though and that is a wonderful thing in it self...

Oh Shainie....I am so sorry to hear this.
I'm "suppose" to be allergic to dog and cat dander, but it seemed like I either grew out of it to an extent or I simply built up a resistance to JUST our pets. Again...I am so verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry sorry
