Re: Easter Plans

We'll make a quick run to Cincinnati to visit our house.
No Easter Baskets or colored eggs here much anymore.
I guess this is why women start "wanting" to be a G-MA.

(not me YET)

HAPPY EASTER ALL!!!!

Re: Easter Plans

Provided my van is fixed by Sunday, I'll be going to my Mom and Dad's house (about 75 miles away). I'll get to see my niece for the first time too!

Re: Easter Plans

My sister & her husband are coming down from Maryland. My cousin, her hubby, her mom & baby are coming up from Florida and my another Aunt, Uncle & cousin are coming from Alabama. There will be about 20 people eating dinner together on Sunday. Plus, my daughter's b-day party is Saturday afternoon, so we will have maybe 30 people at our house for that. We are definately going to be busy this weekend.

Re: Easter Plans

I don't know what we're going to do. I would like to go visit my parents, but DH has been working lots of long hours so I don't know if he'll be up to the drive.

I would love to have a lot of family around to cook for but a lot of times it's just us.

Re: Easter Plans

We don't usually do much, sometimes I'll bring Easter candy to my mom, sister, BIL, nephew, but most of the time we just send Easter cards.

Re: Easter Plans

Well, Easter is a big family hoilday for us. My grandma has had an easter egg hunt at her house for over 25 years for all the grand children (10) and great grand children (9). But, this year my brother asked if he could have it at his house. (It's bigger and there is alot more space out side to hide eggs) So, that's where we will be about 35 adults and 6 kids. Those 6 kids get to go out looking for 150 eggs all with candy and a quarter in each one. We also have an adult easter egg hunt. Every adult that wants to be involved brings 3 gifts. I then number all the bags that have the gifts inside them and then I put a pice of paper in each eggs with the numbers on them. each adult gets to find how many ever eggs they brought, but not there own (we do this by color) this way we still get to find eggs and feel like a kid again. My daughter emily will be turrning 4 on monday so she will get to have a big birthday cake also. I have so much to do before then. Whis me good luck.

Re: Easter Plans

Wow Momof3g~
I don't think if I even had that much family that there would be that many I could put up with (more less entertain). 30 one day & 20 the next!!!!! Lol, I would much rather spend Easter "on the road". Good luck.

DH and I are going out of town without the children to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary. It is one step in a long list of many to work on mending our marriage! I am excited to take a trip with him alone because we haven't had a vacation since our honeymoon 10 years ago.

Re: Easter Plans

I hope it goes nicely Julie. Happy Anniversary.

My plans were to be home alone, again, but my niece called and invited me to their house. She'll have one of the kids drive over to get me and bring me home. It's nice to get such wonderful service. They always make sure we all have a good time and I always get a bag of goodies to bring home.

Re: Easter Plans

First of all- Juliannaluv- congrats on your 10 year. We celebrate ours this year- May 28th.

We have a super crazy, busy weekend. We have the Easter Play at church to go see- FIL is in it on Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights. We have an Easter Egg Hunt at church on Saturday at noon. My parents and brother are going to church with us Sunday morning- we go to church with Mike's parents and grandparents then we are all eating at my MIL's house for lunch. Then my dad's side of the family is meeting at my house at 4pm for dessert and an Easter Egg Hunt. Keep your fingers crossed- there is a 30% chance of rain on Sunday.

Happy Easter!
