Re: Netflix

I just ended my 2 week free trial...first payment came out today, it was $21.40 (not $19.95) because of tax. I really signed up to so I could get a $50 GC from Sears (through Yourgiftcards.com after you become a PAYING member). So far I like it. I have received/returned 6 or 7 in the past 2 weeks. They were sent from within Ohio so it doesn't take long at all for me to gert them or return them. I just received 2 different emails stating that my next two choices were shipped and should be here on or around Weds.day. You can get an email each time, I think it may be an option during your sign-up (or account)..not quite sure tho For us it is worth it because we live quite far from any of the video rental places and even then they're not the big name places so they don't have the same new releases as BlockBuster and the like.

Re: Netflix

I liked it a lot before I signed up for the Blockbuster deal ($24.99/month unlimited DVD's two out at a time...you can watch them and go get more the same day if you like). Your Blockbuster may have the same deal but they don't advertise it at all. You can always tell the ones who have it because we keep our movies when we walk in and just go up to the counter and trade them in. We probably get at least 20 movies per month.

Other than that, I had absolutely no problems with Netflix. We really enjoyed the service.

Re: Netflix

We had Netflix for a month free when it first started up. We really liked it.

We just finished up with a free month trial of Walmart DVD rentals. Same system. There were emails letting us know they received the movies and when our movie choices would be sent out. This is cheaper....I think something like 15.95 a month? And it was in Tacoma which is the next town over so the turnover was fast.

Re: Netflix

Netflix has more movies than Blockbuster and WAY more movies than Wal-Mart.

Often the movie I want isn't in stock (much less available) at Blockbuster, whereas Netflix always has it. I decided to go with Netflix by searching for movies I like at Netflix, Wal-Mart and Blockbuster. Wal-Mart had hardly anything. Blockbuster had a decent catalog, but still not much outside the mass-market blockbuster hits. Netflix has EVERYTHING.

They email when they recieve or ship a movie and you can check you account any time online. They have a great recommendation system based on what you've rented before and how you rated it. So you can brouse when you don't know what you want and they'll recommend stuff you like.

It's easy, fast, cheap. Can't beat it.

Re: Netflix

I've been doing Netflix for a couple months and love it. They're super fast with shipping, and you hardly ever have to wait for a popular movie or new release. I got The Cat in the Hat in the mail the day after it came out.

I did the Walmart rental, but they were too slow. Often, Netflix gets the movie the day after I sent it, and has another movie on the way that same day.

I haven't rented movies in so many years . . . I have 62 in my Queue right now that I want to see. lol
