Question Would you have an affair?

My answer would be no 'cause I've never been in that type of situation.

No. I love my husband too much to ever hurt him like that, and I meant the words I said in my marriage vows over 28 years ago.

Re: Would you have an affair?

In the past ten years the thought has never crossed my mind.....before that, well....what can I say, I DID think about it and even acted upon it to an extent. It was more of an emotional affair and THAT hurts more than any physical aspects.

Re: Would you have an affair?

Never. Even thinking about my DH cheating on me makes me want to vomit. I could never put my family through that. Plus there hasn't been a guy worth it.

I already have one PITA, why would I want another? hahaha

Re: Would you have an affair?

I proved to myself many years ago that I wouldn't. I had a huge crush on a younger guy at work, but had been with my husband for about 8 years already. A few of us from work went to Happy Hour and after a couple of hours it ended up being just me and this younger guy still there. He told me that his roomate was out of the country and he had the house to himself, did I want to come over? It was the hardest thing I ever did, but I said NO, I can't. As we walked to our cars to go home, he said, "Your husband is a lucky man."

WHEW, I still get flustered just thinking about it.

Re: Would you have an affair?

Thoughts will cross my mind as to how good looking another man is , or we'll be in public and I'll be thinking...wow..look at what he does for his wife, how he treats her, blah, blah.....but knowone knows what goes on behind closed doors so I don't think I'd ever act on any of those thoughts...but I think it's more envy of a situation in how the man is treating and acting with his wife that makes me think....the grass could be greener on the other side.

Wow! Sandal...good for you! It is easy for some of us to say that of course we wouldn't have a affair but it is another thing entirely when you are very attracted to someone else and they make a move on you. I'm proud of you!

Re: Would you have an affair?

My FIL was a cheater, I see how it affected his kids and I don't think I could ever be that selfish. The lies, the sneaking around, not too romantic in my book. I know that DH is the man for me!

Well, I'm not as old as you, and BTW, you are never too old to find someone special, but there's a guy at school who really likes me, knows I'm married, so it's hands off. If he knew how much older I am than him, he would probably faint. I look around his age. It's very flattering to say the least.
