It was really good. It was better plot-wise and special effects wise than the first big screen movie. Awesome special effects. The Fred character is less of a poser, and Daphne is actually competent! (Not once did she get caught in a trap!) Call her Daphne the monster slayer... More appropriate for kids too. Only 1 not-too-overt "stoner/drugs" reference by Shaggy this time, and no scantily clad babes like the first one (which was set on an island resort). And, I swear a catfight was brewing between Daphne and Alicia Silvestone's character, but it never broke out.
Ok, don't want to ruin it too much if you haven't seen it. Later

My daughter wants to see it soon too!! It's not here this weekend for us, so we have to wait!!

also, I was not the only adult w/o kids there. There was a guy in a business suit, and a couple college girls.
So, Scooby is a legend, he appeals to all ages

Of course he is. I watched him on TV when I was a kid. When my dad was replainting the house a zillion years ago (close to 30), he'd be doing it weekends when I was watching cartoons, most notably "Scooby Doo's Laff-O-Lympics". The next time he painted I was already in college, and he called me to ask what channel Scooby Doo was on, since he couldn't find it, and he wanted to paint to it again.
