Any plans for the weekend?

I don't have much money for fun this week, so I guess I'll stay home and pick things up around the house, then maybe drop some stuff off at the thrift store, plus study, I'm not looking forward to that, but I have a big test on Wednesday so I guess I really should. Your plans must be better than mine.

Not an exciting weekend but I enjoy the work.

Hockey season is over for us so this weekend is clean up weekend for the ice arena. Yuck - like cleaning my house isn't bad enough!

Oh well, at least this year we are the senior parents for our age division so hopefully some of the junior parents will show up and we can delegate all the "chores" to them

My husbands Grandmother pased away on monday afternoon so we have a Funeral to go to Friday afternoon, Saturday I am going to the "I Worship" concert (Contemporary Christian artists), and Sunday I am tending to household chores.

My dad is coming out on Saturday so I will be frantically cleaning on Saturday morning

No plans so far I have plenty of house work to do so I guess that will probally be it for the whole weekend.

Passover is coming up in just over a week, and my parents are coming to visit, so I'll basically be shopping and cleaning for the next week. Along with the usual cooking, dishes, laundry, getting kids to/from school, and to/from their various activities.

I ought to make a list of what needs to done before my parents arrive (like clearing out the guest room), and what can wait until they're here (cleaning the entertainment center - my dad is tall enough to do the top more easily than the rest of us).

Still cleaning here, I can't seem to find a place to put things, so alot of this clothing is getting packed up for the Goodwill.

My daughter has been begging me for months to take her to Washington, DC, so we went yesterday. Had a great day! Takes about 25 minutes to get to the Metro station and then about 20 minutes from there. I could have driven all the way, but there's never any parking around the mall area where all of the Smithsonians are. At one end of the mall is the Capitol and other end is the Washington Monument. We went to 4 different museums and had lunch at one of them. A lot of walking!

By the time we left, there must have been 20,000 people on the mall for a kite festival. It's all part of the Cherry Blossom festival that will run for about 2 weeks.

I've lived in MD all my life so I've been to the Smithsonians many times, but if you've never been, I would recommend a trip to see them. My favorite is the Museum of American History, it has the Hope Diamond, Fonzie's jacket, Archie Bunker's chair, Dorothy's ruby slippers, etc. Wear comfortable shoes!
