17 years old when Operation Desert Storm began

(I was in marching band and we played for the National Guard troops who were leaving. My DH (then my new boyfriend) was in the guard then too and I was worried that he would be deployed. 10 years later after 9/11...he was!)

12 years old when the space shuttle Challenger exploded
(I saw this happen. We still watched the launches at school back then.)

10 years old when Apple introduced the Macintosh

6 years old at the time the Iran hostage crisis began
(I remember making flags to put in the window for the hostages. I think I still have this flag.)

It is so interesting to have those memories triggered. I don't think that I could have remembered how old I was that quickly. I usually have to count on my fingers!
