I have had enough! This winter I put on SO MUCH weight that I just can't stand myself. Yes, it is due to Comfort Eating due to the fact dh and I are not quite pleased with our cross country move. We have been making the best of it but it just does not suit us. No offense to New Englanders, it just does not suit US. DH has now learned how much he misses the West Coast. The ole "you don't know what you got till it's gone". ![]() Anyways.................. I was wondering if any one could help me out by being my so-called *Chubby Chum*? I would like to lose about 15lbs and be in the 90's again. I'm tired of people saying this extra weight looks good on me. It sure does not feel good with my Fibro and all. Plus, my clothes are TIGHT. ![]() Is there anyone here about 15lbs too heavy that we could help each other out?? You dont have to answer here (in public). | Re: HELP!!!!!!!! Hey there, I just saw this thread, and I had just posted another thread related to this subject, how I lost weight recently. I did it just by eliminating all junk food, all margarine and butter from my dinners, and not eating before bed. Now if I would only get on a treadmill or something to tighten things up a bit. Hang in there AndersonGal, I know you can lose the weight, think positive!

| Re: HELP!!!!!!!! {{{AG}}} my friend!! I've lost 44lbs in 2 months with the help of my little lap, following a sensible diet, and going to the gym 5 days a week. You can do it, remember the "buff hotties club". Keep your sugars UNDER 5 grams per serving, make sure you get in between 50 - 60 grams of protein daily, keep your carbs low, and EXERCISE!!! That's what's working for me ![]()

| Re: HELP!!!!!!!! How did you do today? I did a lot better than I have been, but there's still a little bit of room for improvement, I think. I need to do more research on my caloric needs since I still nurse Emily here and there. All I'm doing right now is counting calories, but I'll probably ease out of that after I've gotten my eating habits more under control and then I'll just do the "eat what you want when you want, but only if you're hungry and only until you're satisfied (NOT full)" thing. Anything beyond those two things is just too complicated for me. I need to exercise more, too. Or even some! ![]()

The problem seems to be I just don't care much at the moment. I care how I look but when I need that *comfort* all of that goes out the window. But NO MORE!!!!!I did fine yesterday. First real day back on track is not the easiest. I don't buy Junk Food, so that helps. So at least this is healthy *Extra* pounds. lol I'm with you Ghostie! Everyone is different and you have to do what works for you. I guess the two of us not smoking has added just by the way we took out our stress. Instead of sneaking a smoke..........we sneak a bite. UGH!!!!! But we can DO IT!

| Re: HELP!!!!!!!! Well, I have 15 pounds to lose too, but I can't be your chubby chum right now........since I'm pregnant...lol! I'll let you know how much more than 15 pounds I have to lose after the baby is born. I hope I don't gain too much. I cannot believe I am going to be pregnant in the summer. Yuck!Also, about the whole East Coast thing. I don't take offense at all! It's all in your own comfort level. I couldn't imagine starting over somewhere where I didn't know anyone. That's has to be really tough! This also has been the worst winter in a long time. Not with snow, but just the awful cold weather we have had. I don't think I have spent this much time indoors in a long time. It's been very depressing! EVERYONE I know is miserable right now and just waiting for Spring weather to come and bring some fun back into life. Sorry you are regretting your move. Is there any chance of moving again? Where is your ideal place to live? Have you moved around a lot? I'd love to move somewhere else, just for a change, but I'm so glued to my family, I'd be so sad without them around. Hopefully, the warmer weather will give all our spirits a boost! Good luck with the diet! It seems like you already have a pretty good support group going. ![]() Lori |

Anyways, the book is a simply approach to weightloss based on approaching it from a artist's point of view. Maybe you will be trim by the time the book is published, but mark your calendar and take a look in May. |
