Love I became an AUNT for the FIRST time today!!!
Well ok, I am an only child by birth...
but some families I grew up with in my church were always very close to me and two in particular. The ones I moved to FL with and then the couple who had 4 kids, 3 boys and 1 girl.

Well their daughter LeaAnna and I have been great friends since day one. She was going to be my maid of honor in my wedding.

Well she got married a few years ago and she got pregnant for the first time....

AND SHE HAD A BABY BOY TODAY!!!!! His name is Hunter.

I have not been able to see him yet, for a few reasons. The hospital is about an hour and a half away, and the labor and delivery was pretty stressful. She had just her and his parents there.

She had to have an emergency c-section and little Hunter has some problems with his lungs and breathing because they did not get cleared out. The doctors were optomistic but said he would be in the hospital for about a week.

I am going to possibly go up there tomorrow after work to see LeaAnna and hopefully get a peak at Hunter. I can not WAIT to hold him!!! LeaAnna has told me from day one that this baby would be my niece or nephew... and now we know its a NEPHEW!!!

It's so much fun becoming an Aunt, no matter what the situation! I haven't seen my nephew since he was born in January, but I am hopefully going back in a few weeks to see him!

I went up and saw him for the first time today... he was a whole DAY OLD!!! He is sooooo cute!!!! He is 8 lbs, 10 oz and 21 3/4 inches long. He looks very much like his momma right now.

He is not out of the woods yet, although he is nursing some now, and the respirator tent is off of him. He has to have a brain ct tomorrow to determine if he has any bleeding on the brain. he would be out of the woods right now if the doctors hadn't used the vaccuum on him!!!! He has been hemmoriging (sp?) on his head and the doctors need to do this ct to rule out bleeding. If there is none on the brain, he will be cleared to leave with his mommy and daddy!!!

I didn't take any pics today.. his grandpa will probably e-mail me one of his and I will post it when I get it.
