Wink I've really been giving my credit card a workout today, have you?

I just ordered that kit by Leigh Valentine, it's called "Distinction", it includes a facial mask, eye serum and some other stuff, then I thought I'd get some hair touch up mascara wands, so I don't have to dye my hair as often, it works great on covering up the root area, plus I saw some beauty cream, of course I just had to have that, it was such a good buy, oh yeah, and I bought "The Perricone Prescription" that book by Dr. Perricone, it is a physician's 28-day program for total body and face rejuvenation, it'll help me to eat the right foods, anti-inflammatory foods, foods which are good for the brain and the skin. I can't wait! All my goodies are on their way, whooohoo!

Re: I've really been giving my credit card a workout today, have you?

I got some of that Distinction stuff on eBay, used it a few times, didn't notice any difference, and stopped using it. (I hate to wash my face in the sink - all that water splashing around.) I guess it might work better if I kept using it.

I haven't tried the hair mascara. Let us know if it works (and the brand name), or if it's yucky. I'm half thinking about that so I don't have to dye as often. (With black hair, those grays really show!)

No, but I'd like to. Now that I'm not working (much), I have devised a system that's been working fairly well for me, so far.

If I see something I think I want, I write it down on a list. I wait a week, then go back and check it again, to see if I still want it. If I do, I might buy it, depending on the cost. I try not to impulse buy like I sometimes did before, and that has really helped curb my spending.

I did buy some of that Lip Thick stuff that's supposed to plump up your lips. My upper lip especially, is so thin. We'll see if it works much. I have my doubts, but if it works at all, it would be noticeable on me.

Guess we're all trying to get sexier huh? I wouldn't mind some of that lip plump stuff myself. So, the Distinction didn't work for you? Hmmm, I wonder if it'll work for me. Leigh Valentine said on her ad on TV that you have to keep using it. We'll see. I figured it's worth trying at least once.

Re: I've really been giving my credit card a workout today, have you?

It's not an attempt to be sexier. It's more for appearance sake. My upper lip is really thin, and I'd like it to be more in proportion to my lower one. Well, how am I going to do that? Just wear this stuff on my upper lip? Oh dear. Well, they aren't THAT much out of proportion, but they are thin.

If I wanted to have a more sexy appearance (not to be confused with being sexy), it would take a whole lot more than a fat lip!! LOL!!

Sexy begins on the inside. And that's not a pun.

It came today, and I have it on right now. It's about the consistency of other lip glosses in a tube (reminds me of Neutrogena lip gloss), and it makes my lips feel like I've spread peppermint on them (kind of a cooling effect). I think you have to use it for awhile to notice any real effects. I'll use it every day and let you know!

I got it at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]. I got the color 'Barely,' but it doesn't look anything like it does on their color swatch. It's sort of a medium flesh color and opaque, not transparent, like I thought it was going to be (most glosses are). But I plan to wear another color over it, so I guess it doesn't really matter. It's too pale for me to use as a gloss by itself. If I had it to do over, I think I'd order 'Lure' or 'Jelly.' This was the cheapest I could find it online, with shipping. ($6.99 + $4.95 shipping)

Re: I've really been giving my credit card a workout today, have you?

I just paid off all of our credit cards and I've been trying to be really good about not using them because I'm saving up for new kitchen cabinets.

I did get something really interesting from BankOne. We've always had the Visa check card, but I just got a new one that is a United Airlines ATM card. So everytime I use it (except for ATM withdrawls) I get 1 mile for every $2. If I spend $200 a week on groceries, that's 100 miles per week! Of course, I use it to pay everything...I'm even trying to figure out if I can do my house payment with it instead of sending a check (I think it costs $12 or something like that). I would love to be able to take a vacation someday.

Which is exactly why I pay for everything with my Discover Card or eBay Visa (I only use this if the business doesn't accept Discover). That hefty check I get at the end of the year is quite nice, considering I pay our credit balance off every month, pay no interest, and pay no annual fee. The last one was for over $400. If they're going to PAY ME to use it, then IMA GONNA!!

Yorkielover, I've used that hair mascara before. Beauty Boutique sells it online. It does cover the roots well. In my case, the blonde mascara has more of a gold color to it, but it's still better than roots showing, so I bought three of them. I wouldn't want to run out.
