Lawn Question

I bought some weed and feed 2 weeks ago and did my front lawn.
How often should I put the weed and feed on my lawn? There were no directions on the bag about how often to use the product.

I am not to lawn savvy so any help would be appreciated

Once in the Fall (October) to take care of early weeds (Spring) and once in the Spring (March) to take care of later (Summer)weeds.


You should fertilize every three months or so (depending on your climate.)

We do ours following our first mow of the spring and the last mow of the early fall. We have three acres, so maybe it's just more a hassle to do it anymore than twice a year (not to mention expensive!) However, twice a years seems to do great for us.

It really depends on the condition of your lawn, my parents have a perfect lawn, and only weed and feed once in the spring. Of course they have beautiful Bermuda grass, and we tend to have crab grass growing in spots, plus weeds torwards the back of the yard.

Most of our crab grass is gone but I still have a few spots that are brown from the winter. I guess that will green up after it has been warm a while My front yard and back yard are small so I can do those with a hand spreader but the field in the back of my house is huge so I will not do it at all the kids will just have to wear shoes back there to avoid the picky crab grass
