I received a bogus e-mail allegedly from Yahoo! support this afternoon. Not only was it delivered to the spam file, but it contained several grammar errors and instucted me to open two attachments to find out why my Yahoo! e-mail account had been disabled. Supposedly the security of my account had been breached. Wrong. Total fabrication. My account is fine. I assumed it was an attempt to gain my info and password or spread a virus so I forwarded it to Yahoo.
What concerns me is that the sender was able to spoof
[Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or
Register Now] as the "From" address. I was fooled for several seconds until I saw the attachments. *red flag*
If you receive it, delete it.
