Anyone using the Rocketboard keyboard?

I got one of the free ones they were giving away several years ago, and have never used it. I was wondering if anyone ever used theirs, and if anyone IS using one now. Their website is no longer in existence, and I can't find anything about whether Windows XP would support it or not.

I could just 'try' it, I guess, and if it doesn't work, no harm done, but I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with one of these.

Re: Anyone using the Rocketboard keyboard?

We used ours for a couple of years, and I finally had to nix it because we couldn't find any drivers for XP. Maybe you will have better luck than us! (hubby is a computer tech so he used all his resources to find a driver!)

Re: Anyone using the Rocketboard keyboard?

I couldn't find any either, and I'm assuming that without XP drivers, it won't work, right? The CD-rom with it is for Windows 95/98.

It's no big deal, I just thought maybe I could program the hotkeys to things I want. Maybe that was never an option anyway, since they were originally programmed to direct you to a specific URL.

Whatever you do don't put that floppy disk in your computer that came with it. It came apart and tore the &*#@ out of my floppy disc slot.

Mine didn't come with a floppy disk, it's a CD-Rom.

Re: Anyone using the Rocketboard keyboard?

Christy used mine with her XP machine - she just told it that she was installing hardware that ran under 98 and didn't have any problems with it.

She's out right now, but remind me & I'll ask her if she was able to reprogram the keys under XP

We did use it for a while and were able to program the hot keys for our own websites. I think we even reprogrammed the Rocketboard hotkey (the one that sends you to their website) to a differetn website.
I never had any trouble with it but my hubby gave it away when he got a wireless keyboard. We also never used it with XP.
