Chatter box The rose I bought my DH for Valentine's Day is sprouting
I couldn't believe it. I put it on the window ledge in our kitchen, more sun there. The rose has died, but it is still on the stem. I cut the stem the other day, gave it more water, and when I looked, there are new leaves sprouting. That is so cool don't you think?

Being a florist I love to hear when this kind of stuff happens,
we had some white and purple stock that rooted that we had in a vase for awhile
Roses always amaze me...
do you know what variety of rose it was? Just curious

I don't know the variety, just a red rose. How many varieties are there for red roses? I don't really have a green thumb so I was pleased when I saw the new leaves on it.

Goodness there are tons of varieties of Red Roses I don't know how many for sure but the charlotte variety is really a beautiful shaped rose, it starts as a bud and always blooms out perfectly..as does another variety
Rose bouiser it has a huge head and is a really bright red...those are some of the best varieties as far as quality but there are just loads of varieties
