ALL READ! - Please help this Atlanta dog out by voting online

Hey- this dog was featured on our news today. She needs a special presciption food to survive and she is competing in an online doggie pageant sponsored by the food company. I am attaching the article with all the information. Please help- she's a sweet looking dog and her owner obviously loves her very much! Thanks!

Dakota, a female dog, is in the running to be named the prettiest dog in a contest sponsored by the company that makes her special dog food. Coty, as her owner Jeanne Cole calls her, almost died in January and now must eat the very expensive special diet if she is to survive.

“I was having a hard time paying for it every month. It’s $20 for a 10 pound bag,” Cole said.

Cole went online to see if she could find a prescription diet for less.

She discovered that the company that makes the dog food was having a contest to find the prettiest dog using their special diet. The dogs are judged by consumers who vote for the winner online.

“Well, she started off great,” Cole said. “She was tied in first place at 40 percent and this other dog started creeping up behind and now I can't catch up to her.”

Cole passes out cards in Piedmont Park urging people to vote for Coty and Coty has promised to sing a song for all those who have promised to vote.

Gosh- Please vote! I am up with a baby cutting molars and happen to see the newscast for the 2nd time. This poor woman went out to a park in the middle of Atlanta and she is begging people with business cards with the website to vote.

She definitely loves her dog and she must be really hard up to pay for the food.

Mike laughed at me tonight when I said I posted it on DOD- I told him that we vote online and kick butt on anything we put our minds too!
