Angry Someone is harvesting email addresses from DOD

Today I get this email..... I x'd out the referral ID so someone will not click on it. But this irritates the heck out of me. She SHOULD have posted this in spam and affiliates. I recognized a few addresses from DOD especially pandybat's and put 2 and 2 together. Who else got this and what do you think we should do? Should we report her to surveysavvy for sending spam?

I would report her. I recognize that name and she has had posts removed before!

Re: Someone is harvesting email addresses from DOD

I just wanted to see if others on here felt the same way as I did. I just sent an email to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] so if anyone else got this, I would send it to them too. I mean I dont mind if I get it from someone I know, but this person sends emails blindly to other people and then I start getting spam. I am not saying everyone on this board sends spam. But this Carmen person OBVIOUSLY does. GRRR.

Re: Someone is harvesting email addresses from DOD

Thanks for the heads-up, I just got the email too.

I'm not too sure, but I think that all of these emails that she used are listed in the referral thread [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]

which IMO would make them fair game to any member who wanted to use them for referrals. I don't really think there would be a way for somebody to get our email addresses from DOD unless we purposely put them somewhere as everyone chose to do in that thread.

The only question that I have is whether this Carmen is a member of DOD?

I generally just delete that stuff if I'm not interested, and that's why my DOD mail goes to the junk account.

I believe that she is. If this keeps up, she might not be for long!

Re: Someone is harvesting email addresses from DOD

I dunno...she is registered and the only mail I got from her was the same one as everyone else got. And we did post our emails as referrals in that thread, so I don't think she's really going to be spamming anyone with unwanted junk mail. She sent a legitimate referral email for a survey site. Now, if I start getting viagra emails from her, I'm going to ban her butt faster than she can blink her eyes! LOL
