I'm on a buying spree, you won't guess what for

I discovered a web-site last night, well...actually I knew of it, but I'd never used it, "Smart Bargains". Boy, do they have some great deals! I bought 3 diamond pendants, one of those is for me of course, the other 2 for my mom and sister for this coming X'mas. They have gorgeous jewelry and I think the best prices on the net. I used MyPoints so it's doubly good. I don't know why, but I've had a craving for diamonds lately. Do you think it could be hormonal?

Have you had any cravings lately, diamonds or otherwise? Chocolates are another thing I've been craving.

I have never been a big jewelry person. Not that I would object to a diamond but what I really want is to pitch my current wardrobe and go on an all out clothes shopping spree. Change my whole style!!! One day. My house needs work first!

I hear ya, I've been thinking lately of reinventing myself, with a different clothing style that is, but I never seem to have enough money to do that, so I end up at the thrift stores. My house needs alot of work too, it's from the 1950's, needs some updating. I really could use more closet space, back in the 50's people didn't have that many clothes, not like today. I dream of a home with huge walk in closets.

Me too.
I really can not complain. We lived in a falling apart sardine can of an apartment for 10 years. We were finally able to buy a house. Structurally, the house is in good shape but the previous owners started ll kinds of improvement projects that never got finished. The floors are in terrible shape, the tub needs refinishing, (though it is a GREAT tub!), and we need to put molding and a new coat of paint in every room. There is some extra space in the bathroom that used to be a washroom, my husband is going to close that off and make a walk in closet for me. The rest of the closets are not walk ins but they are pretty big. The big problem is having the money to get started.
As for my clothes, most are thrift store, garage sale, and second hand. I am appreciative but I woukld love to go to the department stores one timne and get what I want with no limitations.

Do you have any Dots stores near you? I don't know if they are just in our area, but everything in the store is just $13.00 for each piece. They carry Junior sizes. Marshalls is also very good once things go on sale, also TJ Maxx.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with clothes from the thrift store. You can look pretty darn good. I've found alot of designer labels in there.

NOpe, No Dots, Marshalls or TJ Maxx here. If there are any they would be in Olympia, about 1 1/2 hours away. Oh, I don't mind thrift stores or garage sales. I have gotten some great things from both and no one knew the difference. It's just the time and limited selection. I like to find that diamond in the rough bargain but just once, I would like to go to a dept. store and splurge big time!

The pendant is beautiful, you did good!!! I love the heart pendants on that page but my favorite is the amethyst, my birth and favorite stone! Makes me want to blow my little paycheck!!
