Extreme Makeover, did anyone watch it last night? Here are before and after photos

They showed one guy who had all of this surgery done, and while they were filming, he literally fell to the floor, passed out. I'm sitting there watching the show by myself going "OMG"! A complication from the surgery. Luckily he is OK, but what a scare. It happens more often with General Anesthesia which is what I'm sure he had for all of his surgeries. He looked fantastic afterwards, like a whole different person.

Here are the before and after photos. I believe it was Anthony who fainted. Look how different he looks now. The only thing is, he has to keep exercising and watch his diet, otherwise that fat can come back, especially around his middle.

Did you notice that when LaPaula had her "reveal," her (very gorgeous!) husband seemed pretty shocked and not sure that he was all that crazy about the makeover. I can see why he feels that way. While some of these makeovers are incredible, I think some of them are kind of making people into cookie cutter ideals of what's beautiful. Now, instead of LaPaula's sweet, quirky, individual look, she looks just like so many other women.

You're right, he didn't look that thrilled about his wife's new look. She was pretty after the makeover, but like you said, she didn't look like her sweet individual self, more of what is deemed the ideal for beauty. I don't mind fixing little things about myself, but as far as having an extreme makeover like those people, I don't think I could handle it. I'd want to look like me, and I know that would be too much of a shock to my system if I did something like that. Right now I still have a little swelling underneath my jawline from the lipo, but, it is barely noticeable, and looking at myself in the mirror does look a bit different, I don't look as tired, so I think it makes you look younger, well, that's what they said at my doctors office before I had it done, but of course I didn't believe them. I can actually see the difference. So...even though I was hesitant to have lipo, right now I am thrilled at the results. One week of being uncomfortable was worth it.

Hi yall, this is LaPaula from EXM and I just came across this post surfing around. Thank you for watching our show and I appreciate all of your points of view. Just for the record, James was and is thrilled with the makeover and was simply in shock the night of the reveal. Editing is everything in T.V. and he was actually alot happier a few minuites later, when he could start breathing again, lol. He went through alot while I was gone and managed to survive the 3 kids and the holidays like a champ. He is my rock and the light of my life. Keep watching, the new season starts next Thursday. They have just aired these two episodes in Australia, the last one was tonight. When they showed Anthony and Bellen's after shots, I was really impressed with how great they looked, but I have to say with LaPaula, my jaw dropped to the floor! I know some of you say she looks cookiecutter etc.. but I think she looked amazing!!! (And believe me, I hate the bimbo look)
I didn't get the feeling the husband wasn't impressed with the makeover at all, I think he just wasn't used to seeing his wife wearing makeup and looking glamourous. So if you read this again LaPaula, good on you for applying to extreme makeover, in tonights show, you looked absolutely fabulous!
