I know of a US senator who looks at his press secretary's hands to determine if the press secretary did all the reading he needed to do that morning.

The amount of scars on your hands displays to many what type of work you do for a living. If it is only newspaper ink covering your fingers, people probably will think you read for a living and you are extremely smart.

As for the print vs. online thing, the Howard Stern article was on page C1 (below the fold) in the print edition of the Washington Post this morning, but was on the front page of the online edition today.

No need to take it personally or get your panties in a wad.

They're different media, aim for a different target market and feature different types of info. No big deal. relax.

You know what I find relaxing?

a newspaper!

Re: Newspaper Subscriptions?

For years, I subscribed to my local newspaper, but last year I stopped. I was trying to unclutter my life, and I guess making so many trips to drop off the newspaper recycling was one of them. Now, I get national/world news online and from MSNBC, CNN, and FoxNews. Sometimes I watch the local news. I do miss the coupons (few) and sales ads in the local paper, but it saves me $120/yr subscription cost ... and I can still find coupons/deals right here at DOD.

Re: Newspaper Subscriptions?

I think it's easier and more to the point to read it online. The rest of the info in a newspaper you end up getting by word of mouth or gossip anyhow.
