I had a pretty good day so far. I had to work and it was one of the more exhausting days, but my hubby is taking pretty good care of me (: We sort of celebrated throughout the week. He took me to dinner and a movie earlier in the week and ordered some books that I wanted.

I got one of my dance ministry books in the mail today and we are going out for cheesecake in just a little bit.
The highlight of my day, besides my girls singing happy birthday to me was when my nephew, who will be three this year, and whom I have not seen in almost a year called me and sort of sang happy birthday to me (:
I miss him so much. I used to babysit him 4 days a week so he was like my own. Can't wait until I can see him in the summer!
It has been really weird for me this year, my family always has a big get together for everyones birthday, we have cake and stay up for hours playing UNO, Password or Scrabble. This is the first year we have all been scattered across the country so its been very different! Oh well, cheesecake and a quiet game of Scrabble with my hubby later.

Thank you all so much! My hubby took me last night to get some new shoes (: He is so sweet. I just started working and my shoes were so uncomfortable, he bought me some comfy shoes and some warm boots!!

AndersonGal, I moved here from Louisiana. I miss all the gatherings with my family but I do love it here and am much happier. It is funny though, where I live, people complain a lot. They complain about the weather and jobs and living here. It drives me nuts because if they only realized where I came from and how much better all around it is here. New Orleans is a very dirty place, we had an apartment that the landlord did not take care of. My husband worked at a job for 12 years doing more than he is doing at his present job and still made less than his starting wages here. The scenery here is beautiful, Louisiana is so flat, no mountains or even hills!
I just love it here! I just wish I could bring some of my family here to live!
