| Re: Do you pay full price for greeting cards? I don't pay full price exactly but I do buy all of my cards from Hallmark. You can sign up free for their Gold Crown card and you get points for each purchase plus they give bonus points and deals for buying a certain number of cards. Then they quarterly send you out a check based on your points- I usually get one for $3 or $4 each time. What I do is buy the 99 cent cards- they have a huge selection and you get the quantity points. Then I use the checks to get more cards I need. Cards have gotten very expensive and I can't pay $3-4 a card when I usually have 3 or more birthdays at a time to buy for. But by doing the Hallmark rewards- I get something back!

| Re: Do you pay full price for greeting cards? Tracir that's what I do with MyPoints, I buy from the stores listed with them to get points. I didn't know that Hallmark did that. I like that idea alot.

| Re: Do you pay full price for greeting cards? I am not a big card sender to begin with. We print birthday cards on the computer. You can buy the Hallmark or American Greetings software, nice card stock, and envelopes pretty cheap....in the long run anyway. I got the software on clearance for $5 and the office supply stores have some specials on the rest. If I am out of envelopes I have even punched a hole in the card and tied it to the gift with curling ribbon.I did get in on the clearance of the Target card organizer with 21 cards...for 2.49 (75% off) and then .99(90% off) for the whole set! ![]() |

| Re: Do you pay full price for greeting cards? I think cards are a big waste of money except for the really special occasions.

| Re: Do you pay full price for greeting cards? Nope, don't buy expensive cards. My way of thinking is I would rather take someone out for a burger or something as opposed to a card that gets thrown in the trash or back of the drawer. My family knows how I am, and they all just laugh. But I think it's crazy to spend that much on a card(I know, I know, just tell me how cheap I am)LOL The $ stores have cards for 50 cents and that's where I get mine!!!!! |

| Re: Do you pay full price for greeting cards? I just bought some at Walmart for 49 cents each. They're called Connections by Hallmark. I thought they were cute and had nice messages in them. I bought some from Current too to have around when I need them. But for special events I still like to hand-pick cards.

| Re: Do you pay full price for greeting cards? I too have a Gold Crown card so I buy my cards at Hallmark and get a $4-6 check every so often. I like their quality so it does give me a discount in the long run. A couple of weeks ago I found a better deal on Hallmark cards so I stocked up for the year: Mervyn's had all Hallmark products 40% off because they're eliminating that department from the store (at least the one near me).
