I have spent some time reviewing the info on this site and have my own "to-do" list as a result!

Just thought I`d share this neat website with folks - it`s well worth the time to read through the material.......

That's such an easy thing to do, especially with the internet these days. A guy just phoned me out of the blue last night from LA, said he had gotten my name from me applying for a job online, which, I don't remember doing, he had my E-mail address and home address, scary. I told him I didn't remember doing that, but I'd listen to what he had to say. It's suppose to be a business you do from your home. It says on his web-site that he is listed in Forbes magazine as one of the 13 most profitable businesses. The business is called Excel-Vartek, ever hear of it? Me neither. I went into his web-site, it talked about how the rich spend their money, the poor, and the middle class. It just didn't sound legit to me. Besides, unless you check at your local library and look up the business and also are absolutely sure that these people phoning you are from said business, I wouldn't give out my SS# or anything else to them. Sure I'd love to work out of my home, but not if it costs me my identity. It also makes me wonder, if they have that much information on me, can they get my credit card number??? I had a close call with a credit card the other day, the credit card company phoned me, asked if I charged anything. This is a card I hadn't used in 3 years, thankfully. I said No, they said they'd put a hold on my account, something like that. I cancelled that card immediately afterwards. Sure, the charge was only for something like $15.00, but my DH thinks the person using my credit card # was just testing to see if it was a valid #, then would rack up major charges later. I swear, this world has gone mad!
